Doctor Mary Hong
Meet Dr. Mary Hong, Compassionate Vet in NSW Australia
Dr. Mary Hong graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2009. After gaining experience at two other hospitals in Sydney, she joined Kirrawee Vet Hospital, where she has been a valued member of the team for over 10 years.
Mary enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with a special interest in puppy and kitten vaccinations (who wouldn’t!), ultrasound, soft tissue, and orthopaedic surgery. She thrives on the challenge of treating complex surgical cases and loves working with the wonderful clients who trust her with their pets' care.
While she no longer has pets of her own, she still holds Ban, her beloved cattle dog, and Storm, her British Shorthair, close to her heart.
Outside the clinic, Mary enjoys snow skiing, snorkelling, yoga, and meditation. She is also fluent in Mandarin, making her an asset to our diverse community. She often jokes that if she had a career do-over, she’d become a dog groomer—still working with animals, just with a little less study involved!
Dr. Mary is a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate vet, and we are incredibly lucky to have her as part of our team!
