Leptospirosis (Lepto) is a potentially serious bacterial disease that dogs can pick up through contact with infected urine or contaminated water, soil and environments, with rodents such as rats being an important source of infection.

The Lepto vaccine is not considered a routine vaccination for every dog, so we recommend it based on your dog’s individual lifestyle and risk. We particularly encourage vaccination for dogs who visit farms, explore bushland, spend time around waterways, creeks or standing water, or frequent areas where rats may be present.
