Meet Nurse Kylie

After completing an 18-month work placement with us, Kylie officially joined the Kirrawee Veterinary Hospital team as a qualified veterinary nurse in December—and we couldn’t be happier to have her on board.

Becoming a vet nurse has been a long-time dream for Kylie, inspired by her years of experience running her own mobile dog wash business and working closely with a wide range of animals through the RSPCA. Her deep love for animals, combined with hands-on experience, has shaped her into the compassionate and capable nurse she is today.

At KVH, Kylie is embracing every opportunity to grow, enjoying the chance to expand her knowledge across all areas of veterinary care. She thrives in the dynamic, fast-paced environment of the clinic, where teamwork and support are always front and centre. “I love how there can be so many things going on at once, but everyone works together to get the jobs done,” she says. “The support here is amazing.”

At home, Kylie shares her life with a sweet Cavalier King Charles named Geordie, and two beloved cats—Leela, her one-eyed queen, and Nibbler—each of whom found their forever home with her after time in RSPCA foster care.

When she’s not caring for patients, Kylie loves spending quality time with her two grandsons and exploring new places through travel. Her warmth, dedication, and genuine love for animals make her a truly special part of our KVH family.
